Transformer is the important equipment of power system, oil-immersed transformer is widely used in the power system. Along with the increasing of electrical load, the capacity of the transformer is increasing, the heat problem caused by their losses is becoming more and more serious. In our country, the load rate of transformer continues to rise, excess nameplate capacity and increasing failure rate of transformer, which severely threats the safety of grid. Therefore the heat dissipation problem of transformer is attracting growing attention.Firstly, the thesis introduces the background and significance of the research situation about the heat dissipation problem of transformer, through the survey of the technology development and application status on the oil-immersed transformer heat dissipation problem, the depth analysis on oil-immersed transformer heat dissipation problem research situation, he research aim and research content of this thesis is determined.The thesis raises using heat pipe cooling device to improve the oil-immersed transformer heat dissipation performance, designed the experiment system and experimental scheme of the heat pipe cooling device, established test bench and carried out the experiment on the30kVA oil-immersed transformer; by compare the analysis of the experiment results, determined using the heat pipe cooling device can obviously increase the transformer heat dissipation performance, and determined the feasibility of the heat pipe cooling device experiment system; the thesis performs numerical simulation and results analysis of the heat pipe cooling system, the simulation results are close to the experiment results, the mathematical model can be used to analyze heat transfer and internal temperature field of oil-immersed transformer using heat pipe cooling device, guide heat pipe cooling device design; the thesis used the heat pipe heat exchanger in industrial transformer, and carried out the performance test, the analysis shows that the cooling effect of the industrial transformer using heat pipe heat exchanger to dissipate heat can be increased, which meets the requirement of the transformer specifications.
