The lightweight, low energy consumption, safe and comfortable has become the car industry development direction. Using new type of car manufacturing materials instead of traditional becomes a developing trend. Foam aluminum material has light, fatigue resistance, reduce vibration, specific strength, highly rigidity characteristics. The study is on foam aluminum using in cars, and on the basis of frame to start point for study.With a small frame for research, the integrated use of prototype theory analysis and numerical calculation method, and to meet the maximum deflection of frame based on requirements of the light weight aluminum filling. Using ANSYS finite element analysis software to built the frame model before and after filling foam aluminum, first to fill the frame after static characteristic finite element analysis, preliminary proof that the foam aluminum frame has better static performance.Then the comparison of filled and unfilled frame’s dynamic characteristics can be done to use the finite element analysis.The results show that after filling the frame has higher natural frequency and lower amplitude, which has better dynamic characteristics. Meet automotive lightweight, low energy consumption, safety and comfort requirements. |
