How toreduce the collision risk, as far as possible to reduce the collision loss to protect thesecurity of the passenger, the vehicle passive safety can be improved effectively, makepeople pay more and more attention to car safety. China transportation industry andautomobile industry development the same smooth constraints and constraints, so thedevelopment of the automotive safety research is very necessary.By the automobile and other traffic tools for comparative perspective, the safetyproblem can be viewed as the safety car source. According to the related statisticaldata, the estimated annual more than500000people died in a car accident, injuryaccounted for about10000000people, at the same time in the traffic accident rate,China is currently the highest rates occurred in the country, the grim fact that peoplemust attach importance to the safety issues.Automobile safety car design important content, also is one of the mostconcerned problems for the people. At present, the major automobile manufacturers toimprove fuel economy, and reducing vehicle emissions at the same time, also in theefforts to improve vehicle safety issues.In recent years, car crash simulation technique get rapid promotion, for theautomotive simulation development has provided the corresponding input conditions,the universal application of the collision damage simulation software MADYMO, thesoftware in a vehicle occupant restraint system performance evaluation andoptimization process was widely used.In this paper, combined with the airbag development process, to assist in thesmooth development of the airbag, identified based on experiment MADYMO software as a supplement regimen, with automobile factory cars in the way ofcooperation, at the same time in order to fully understand the virtual collision processof the theoretical foundation, elaborated the simulation with finite element method,focusing on the side airbag simulation Limited yuan time integration methods areanalyzed, the stress and strain analysis of unit internal stress distribution, andemphatically introduces the side simulation model and application of the materials,finally by writing to accomplish the goals discussed in the side impact occupant injurycriteria and indicators.Based on the LS-DYNA and MADYMO established the vehicle side crashrestraint system numerical model. According to the simulation data test and realvehicle crash test results, can be seen from the simulation results and the test resultsare consistent.Establishment of cab bag model, and placed it in the MADYMO model damagevalue calculation, proof curtain airbag use has a protective effect, then design adifferent bag folding mode of cab, and placed in the MADYMO are calculated, resultsshow that: second the airbag folding bag has better protective effect. In theestablishment of a SAB bag model, and place it in the MADYMO model damagevalue calculation, proved SAB helper cab occupant protection effect is better, tochoose the influence of SAB protection effect of three factors, the orthogonalexperiment analysis, determine the best experimental program.
