Design And Implementation Of Dynamic Traffic Information Service In Neusoft Car Navigation System

With the development of the urbanization process and the increase in car ownership, traffic problems have become increasingly prominent. Traffic congestion can be eased by traffic information service.Traffic information service consists of static traffic information service and dynamic traffic information service. Static Traffic information includes road network scale, road condition, traffic capacity and so forth, and dynamic traffic information includes traffic flow of network, travel time, smoothness level and situation of parking free and the forth. Based on traffic information, especially dynamic traffic information, it can be realized to plan the best driving route and to reduce travel time, so as to achieve the purpose of easing traffic jam as well as reducing energy consumption and the negative impact on the environment.Dynamic traffic information service is a popular issue in the field of intelligent transportation. Many industrial countries involving Japan, American and several European countries have invested in a lot of energy and resources for research and application and built dynamic traffic information system representative of VICS, TMC, from which these countries have obtained remarkable social and economic benefits. At present, traffic information service in China is still in its initial and exploratory stage; nevertheless, such service is in great demand and has a huge space for development.In terms of technical realization, this project mainly referenced relevant standard of traffic and traveler information, and that is TMC technical. Based on the analysis of car navigation system, I designed and implementated the dynamic traffic information serivice. The functionality and performance of the service have reached the established goal, and it is foreseeable that the service would have a good perspective of application.
