With China’s rapid economic development and living quarters continue to strengthen the purchasing power of residents and the family car into the family environment, increasing per capita car share, and further explosive growth trend. With the rapid increase of private cars, vehicles parked chaos, misplacing the phenomenon is widespread, residential area of the living environment and travel environment and security has been a very big impact. Solve the private car into the family arising from static traffic has become a reality can not be ignored.January11,2012, the Ministry of Public Security Traffic Management Bureau of Statistics, The Chengdu vehicle fleet has been more than2million, ranking third in the country. A huge amount of motor vehicle ownership has led to outstanding parking supply and demand, parking confusion, difficulty in parking problems and eventually become a factor restricting the economic development of Chengdu.Parking problems in the different years of construction in Chengdu in the residential area, a lot of investigation and analysis of data on the basis of combination of domestic and foreign literature research, compare parking demand forecasting model based on the, to find the one most suitable for the local residential area in Chengdu, parking demand forecasting model, resulting in large amounts of data based on principal component analysis for the main parking demand prediction model, preliminary calculation of the residential area of the parking demand and Chengdu building’s residential district parking problems and put forward ideas for improvement.At the end of the article, we summed up the problems of the Institute, and look for some outlook.
