Nowadays wherein railway transport is developing rapidly, people put forward higher requirements for the inner environment, while pursuing speed, especially the comfort of seat riding and aesthetics of the seat. Seat mask, a layer of cover on the surface of the seat that contacts with passengers most frequently, is a key part of the seat for overall visual effect and comfort; we can see the importance and necessity of the design of masked seat. At present, the domestic textile design of high-speed train seat, at home, is almost a blank state, wherein textile fabrics of the car seat that already exist in market, on one hand, lacks sets of design, relatively homogeneous types of design, on the other hand, they are insufficient in originality with considerable portion of the sample from the market replication. Therefore, in the rapid development of intercity trains, set of system design of car masked seat, has a broad market prospects.This research, through analytical investigation of the mask design elements of the train seat, designed a series of complete sets of design to enrich the existing markets and product categories, and thus enhance the integrity of the train throughout the ride space, aesthetics and comfort. Beside the high speed and convenience brought by high-speed train, the passengers can also get a sense of spiritual belonging, dependence and security. Subjected to practical application, making object of the second class compartment of the Chengdu-Chongqing Intercity train seats and seat mask and combined with systematic theory design, the research hopes to attain series development and series production, it can also make a certain contribution to the future research and production of reference and will enhance the overall visual image of China’s inter-city trains.
