| Since reform and opening up, the process of industrialization and urbanization acceleration; with the sustaining and rapid economic growth, cities’development and space expansion, and the features on jurisdiction, lots of constructions of independent areas appears in the scope of the urban area, from a new town to an industrial park. However, with the extraordinary rapid development of the cities in recent years, the lack of policy and planning implementation experience, as well as the developers and some others’pursuits of the profits, many cities often blindly engage in development and construction of the independent areas, neglect the importance of traffic contacts between the independent area and the original city. Many cases indicate that the traffic pressure is too large, and the strength of traffic contacts is too weak, making the city deviates from the steady development orbit. Therefore, this paper presents the concept of relatively independent area (RIA) and main body of urban area (MBUA), and demonstrates the connective traffic problems through case studies. The construction of the transportation system between RIA and MBUA plays an important role in leading a reasonable and stable development of the city without causing traffic problems. To a large extent, MBUA’s influence of radiation is realized through the flow of material elements, and the connective traffic is the key. Therefore, reasonable construction of the connective traffic can effectively overcome the space resistance of material elements’flow between RIA and MBUA, centralize and increase MBUA’s influence of radiation, promote the optimization of population, industries’balanced allocation, and thus accelerate the development of RIA.Based on the above analysis, this study adopts a method of combining theoretical and empirical analysis to elaborate relational concept, formation mechanism and characteristics in the development processing. Through several domestic relatively independent practice cases’ analysis, it points out the main problems of the connective traffic. From three aspects of technical rationality, implementation and management, social cognition, it analysis the underlying reasons for the connective traffic problems, and states out optimization countermeasures and suggestions from the two aspects of RIA’s function and connective traffic. The theoretical research results can provide theoretical guidance and solutions of similar problems for our country in the future, and promote the healthy development of RIA and MBUA. |
