Study On Livability Assessment In Changsha City

The city has developed to the modern information technological, sustainability ofecological and network age. Along with the improvement of science and technology,the greater demand of modern human needs, the city problems are complicated. Thecomplexity and its extension field of livable city construction has been far beyond thetraditional architecture based on city planning theory and method.Changsha as middle China rapid risen to “two type society”, along with the cityconstruction development, large span, city residential area has experienced living tomeet the demand, improve the quality life, healthy ecological and livable society,low-carbon energy saving environmental protection and a series of otherdevelopments, the city has gradually become residential livable city. Appropriateliving and working functional relevant with living culture, architectural style, thepublic will, city style and government image. All of these advantageous will supportand benefit the city economy, social culture and develop ecological construction. Inthe new era, especially when the resources saving and environmental friendly societyconstruction gradually become important, the whole society promoting in low carboneconomy, Changsha City residential development will face a new challenge.Changsha has won " China’s most happiness city" and" civilized city". Theregional research in Changsha City, its livability assessment analysis has significancescientific and practical impact in construction of Changsha.This study has based on research of relevant domestic and international livablecity construction planning theory and practice, using subjective and objectivequantitative data analysis, qualitative analysis, from various aspects and dimensions,evaluation of Changsha city livable status, find out shortages, and drawing examplesfrom the domestic and foreign typical cases of livable city construction in order togive recommendations to construct livable city of Changsha.
