In rencent years, with the rapid development of photovoltaic power generation, electroplating diamond wire saw is used widely in silicon ingot root and sliced field represented for diamond tools.It is a future trend that electroplating diamond wire saw instead of mortar wire saw cutting polycrystalline silicon, sapphire and other hard brittle materials.It is researched that manufacturing electroplating diamond wire saw and the designing and manufacturing of corresponding production equipment in this paper.It is given a new method of sand-tacking-on-roll wheel brush plating that also researched in this paper. The research include the the designing and manufacturing of roll wheel brush plating tank,principle for sand-tacking-on of the new method with optimal processing parameters,the influence of softener to tensile and bending strength of wire saw.The Φ0.25mm piano wire is used as matrix.the particle size of common diamond powder between20~μ35m and coating diamond powder between22~38μm producted by He nan Hengxing Co., LTD are chosen as abrasive in this paper.The test show that, the speed of sand-falling-electroplated for manufacturing electroplated diamond wire saw is solwly and diamond powder is hard to adsorp to the matrix.The allowing use of cathodic current density of sand-bury-electroplated method for manufacturing electroplated diamond wire saw is little. It cost too much time for manufacturing electroplated diamond wire saw by this method,and the quality of sand-tacking-on is unstable.This method requires high precision to charge of pay-off equipment and is not suitable for large-scale production.However, roll wheel brush plating makes up for the deficiency.Diamond wire saw with stable quality, uniform sand density,coating combined well with matrix can be made by roll wheel brush plating method. The optimizing reconstruction of roll wheel brush equipment plating can be used for large-scale production. The best current density are3A/dm2and15.3A/dm2of common diamond powder and coating diamond powder and corresponding speed of matrix are0.21m/min and1m/min.The speed of manufacturing electroplating diamond wire saw improves and the time is shorten by the roll wheel brush equipment plating. Through cutting glass in the testing machine,it shows that diamaod wire saw is sharp with flat incision.The diamond powder of wire saw combines strongly with coating and the wire show no burr and crackle.The small manufacturing electroplating diamond wire saw equipment is designed through the requirment of the roll wheel brush principle and process parameters.The equipment includes the design of sand-tacking-on tank, preparation plating tank, thickening tank and pretreatment tank with corresponding simple mechanical transmission.
