The spectrum analyzer is a common measurement instrument in modern RF andmicrowave fields.With the development of communications and in depth study theequipment,technology of frequency spectrum analysis has become more and more important.Tomake it be realized by softwares and digital is a trend for spectrum analysis. Combined with theidea of SDR,this thesis presents the design of a spectrum analyzer.Firstly,this thesis studies the theory and composition of spectrum analyzer,and then givesthe system design both of hardware and software.Secondly,the thesis discusses the design theoryand main technology deeply. In the hardware,it introduces the basic theory and architecture ofDDC and summarizes various key theory and algorithms such as digital quadraturetransformation,CIC,HB,using the Matlab tool to simulate and analyze.Secondly,through thespectrum analyzer system software requirements analysis, it proposed a data stream based on thefeasibility of instrument software system design according to component technology andsoftware design model theory.As a basis for the design of a reasonably open level and the size ofthe instrument software component framework, and application development for the system setto achieve its objectives andtechnical routes.Then, in order to achieve the functions of systemsoftware components, spectrum analyzer system software frame design based on functionalcomponents of the division of functional components proposed the development of spectrumanalyzer model and development process.The instrument function components are designed indetail to determine the standard interface specification.At last,it analyzes the problems and givessolutions during the realization of the proposal.
