Study On Electric Communication Technology Based On Management Patent Map

Information technology plays the most important role in the new technological revolution. Inthe fierce market competitions of information industry, enterprises which backed by the support ofthe government to strengthen the control of the industry chain through patents, reap most of theprofits of the industry, control of the industry, have behaved more and more obviously. Patentmanagement is not only an important aspect of intellectual property management but also is animportant criterion to measure the condition of the modern enterprise management.So far, we already have patent documentary research via the patent map in China, but there’sno document devoted to the study of electrical communications technology patents. Moreover, thestructure and morphology of such patent change with time. As a result, by using the theoreticalknowledge of management science and engineering, according to the data of the State IntellectualProperty Office patent database and based on the Patent Map Method, the present study deals withthe characters and problems on patent change situation, distribution of R&D forces, distribution ofpatent rights, university contributions, etc. of China’s electrical communications technology (IPCclass H04) from the point of view of patent management. Then our study gives the tendency outlineand a close look at the structure from the point of view of management, thus providing suggestionswhich have a certain reference value for related enterprises and the government departments todevelop macro policy, business strategy, patent strategy and so on.First, the research of patent map as well as patent strategy were reviewed and summarized.The second, based on the patent data of China’s electric communication technology from1985to may of2012, with analytic method of patent map, patent application trend chart, the patentgrowth rate analysis chart, IPC distribution chart, Patent legal state distribution map and the patentmaintenance time chart were drew, and in-depth analysis on the above chart were made.Then the key enterprises and universities of China’s electric communication technologyindustry were analyzed, especially focus on the cooperation between enterprise and university.Finally, according to the analysis, some suggestions on patent strategy for domestic electriccommunication technology enterprises were provided.
