Research Of Aviation Cable Integrated Test System

Aviation cable is the nervous system of an aircraft. It connects with the aircraftelectrical,avionics, communications, navigation, and other systems and can transmit powercontrol signal anddata information to aircraft parts. The electrical environment of the aviationcable system is complex and has many potential failures; many aircraft crash incidents andfailures are directly or indirectly related with the cable system failures. Therefore, it is verysignificant for aircraft’s quality and safety to test the cable system, determine fault in theprocess of aircraft assembly and maintenance.This subject researched aviation cable integrated test system. It can test the short circuit,open circuit, insulation fault, and puncture test detection of the aviation cable as well as thediodes, relays, switches and other electronic components reliability testing. The measurementand control unit facilitated expansion of test capacity, used distributed modular design andeach distributed switching unit had the capacity up to1024test points, multi-point excitationand high test speed.Firstly,this paper introduced the domestic and international aviation cable test systemdevelopment gap and common test methods and presented the overall design of a distributed,seeing that the current cable test system of China’s aviation plane is relatively backward,unavailable to test comprehensively, low efficiency. Secondly,this paper introduced designdetails of measurement and control unit with ARM micro-controller as core, including theCAN controller module, the measuring circuit module,the excitation source module,large-scale matrix switch module principles of analysis and hardware design.Finally, It gavethe overall software design program of the measurement and control unit and distributedswitching unit for system software,and gave a detailed design of the software modules of themeasurement and control unit and distributed switching unit.
