Cables, as the "blood vessels" and "nerve" of vehicles, aircrafts, missiles and other equipment, their reliability directly affects the normal operation of equipment, especially for military equipment,it plays a decisive role. Traditional manual inspection methods are time-consuming, laborious and inefficient, which can not meet the needs of detection. The existing domestic test equipment has the disadvantages of simple function, low precision, poor stability and extensibility, and still needs to continue to be researched and improved; foreign testing instruments are relatively advanced, but the prices are generally more expensive and due to the technical blockade or commercial secrets, less interface and secondary development information are available to users, which makes upgrading and updating of the system highly dependent and costly. Therefore, to develop a set of cable detection system, which has more advanced detection performance, more comprehensive function and better extensibility, is necessary.This paper analyzes the special needs of the performance testing of a certain missile cable net, and adopts the multi dimension integrated technology to develop the cable net detection system based on the distributed structure. Firstly,select the advanced NX Hipot+ tester as a universal detection module system to meet the test requirements of precision resistance and insulation under high voltage; secondly,develop a special test module,whose hardware mainly consists relay matrix switch control circuit and digital high resistance meter with serialport to meet the demand of measurement to high resistance under low voltage; Considering the measured part can be connected to the test interface rapidly, accurately and reliably and subsequent expansion and compatibility of the system, also in order to improve the speed of manual detection, through the analysis of logic feasibility, a switching circuit and bus-bar are designed and introduced, all the devices introduced above, together with IPC as the host computer,constitute the detection hardware system. According to the function, hardware structure and working flow of the system, this paper develops the application software of the automatic detection system based on the research of the hardware integration, software integration and information integration technology, the software has the function of cable detection program design, cable net detection automaticly running different sub-system, test data analysis and judgment, data management, report generation, and so on. In order to verify the accuracy of the detection system, a calibration specification of the detection system is also drafted through studying.The experimental results show that the system can meet the design requirements, and has friendly interface and perfect function. The system has good expansibility, can not only realize the distributed measurement by connecting new detection unit, the system software also has the corresponding general detection window, which makes the system become a universal detector to test different types of cables without changing the hardware.
