Make user experience as the criterion of design is originally from some representative fields,such as ergonomics, interaction design, etc. With the coming of experience economy era, the personalized needs of consumers are becoming increasingly diverse. It means that the product designers must fully understand the needs of the consumer before the design activities. Or even ask consumers to participate in the design as one of the designer.How to get the useful consumer information and how to make the consumer take part in the design are the key of the actual product research and design process. With the study of the traditional design methods and research methods, combined with the historical background, I supplement and improve the products research methods which based on user experience. Also I propose the principles and configuration process of the new methodology. Used the basic methods of market research, combined with my own research achievement, I tailored made the research progress for the project of the new automobile seat cover research for China market. This methodology has been well verified. Hope to make a little exploration and contribution to the development of the product design.
