In the context of the aging of the social population,the elderly with the visual,hearing,touch,memory and other functions of the gradual decline and urban elderly retirement lifestyle changes,the elderly in the physical and psychological will also be a big change,Followed by daily necessities also has a special demand,therefore,around the urban lifestyle and derived from the design needs of the research is the main innovation.Urban elderly retired from the social groups at home,extremely vulnerable to loneliness nostalgia bad mood;the other hand,the phenomenon of empty nest more aggravated the elderly sense of emptiness and sense of loss and other negative emotions,these negative psychological factors led to lonely elderly,suicide,etc.People sad social problems.Based on the theory of emotion design,this paper analyzes and researches the elderly users,and applies the user experience design method to the elderly products.Based on the field investigation,the basic physiological and psychological characteristics of the elderly are investigated and summarized.And the influence of elderly product design.Secondly,combining the old people's life style and the case of the elderly product,the paper puts forward the emotional design principles and methods of the elderly product.At last,through the comparison and analysis of the existing emotional product design case,Rational combination of emotional design principles to solve the elderly products more detailed emotional needs and experience.Hope that the products can meet the emotional needs of the elderly to fill the gaps in emotional elderly,and finally concluded that the emotional theory of the elderly under the guidance of the product design process and ideas.
