Research On Architecture Design For Economic Hotel Chain Based On Recongstruction In The Pearl River Delta Region

The first economic hotel chain named Jinjiang Star Shanghai Paradise in Domestic wasfounded in1997in Shanghai city. Since then the economic hotel industry in China has beendeveloping for nearly fifteen years.In the past fifteen years,on the one hand, economic hotelsbloomed fast because of the promotion of the tourist industry, reaching the amount of8,313economic hotels and837,720guest rooms by the first half year of2012. Apparently,theexisting construction pattern can not catch up with the expand of economic hotel chain. Onthe other hand,with the rapid development of China’s economy and the county economystructure’s adjustment, resource-based cities faded. Old factories, free structures, historicalblocks and buildings in those cities need reconstruction, and a reasonable and effectiveprotecting and reconstruction method is needed. Influence by the two reasons above, moreand more old buildings and free structures have been restored into economic hotels theseyears, and through this turning, a win-win effect can be received. While in the practise of thiskind of reconstruction, the study of turning old buildings into economic hotels has not beenpaid enough attention. A research from theory to practise seems to be emergency to guide thereconstruction.The former scholars paid more attention to the definition, characteristics, administration,marketing strategy etc. of economic hotel chain. Lately research covers more or less theeconomic hotels reconstruction, and the idea and technique involved is of reference value.However, there is still no profound research and elaboration on different kinds of architectureturning into economic hotels in the documents.Therefore this paper, according to recongstruction in The Pearl River Delta Region,basedon both practical studies and theoretical analysis, firstly illustrates the research status ofeconomic hotel chain at home and abroad, definnes the concept and research scope,expatiates the research purpose and significance and introduces the research methods andframework. Then, the focus shifts to an analysis of its definition and characteristics and thestatus of reconstruction economic hotel chain and a review of its development at home andabroad. Then gives a further research and analysis of the reconstruction economic hotel chainin The Pearl River Delta Region. Next, this paper tries to sort out the personalities of different kind of reconstruction by the study of the reconstruction strategy and case analysis ofeconomic hotel chain reconstruction in The Pearl River Delta Region. And the commonalityby the study of the design strategy of the share projects in The Pearl River Delta Region.Andat last the overall planning of the economic hotel chain reconstruction in The Pearl RiverDelta Region based on the two study above.
