Liede bridge system and north extension is located near the new central axis ofGuangzhou, from the North Central Expressway (planning, not implement) north to Xin GangMiddle Road, connect Xinguang Expressway by Jianghai Avenue, is an important north-southtrunk of the traffic through the Tianhe District, Haizhu District and Panyu District.Tentative idea of this plan is to build a large capacity continuous channel between HuananExpressway and Guangzhou Avenue. With Huangpu Avenue, Guangyuan East Road,XinguangExpressway and Guangshan Road, the system can decentralize the import and export trafficflow of central Tianhe Distict, which can improve the ability of evacuating Tianhe Districttraffic. At present, the system and1st stage of north extension (from Xingang M. road to Tianheroad) has already completed upgrade, opened to traffic in February2010. The system betweenTianhe road and Guangyuan road is existing road, have not upgraded, the traffic flow hasalready become more and more saturated. To study the impact of the system on the surrounding road network in the measuredtraffic flow (before construction, now) and model predictions (all through to the North RingExpressway), we start with the traffic characteristics of the system; analyze current andhistorical traffic flow, the influence on the parallel roads, intersected roads and the key trafficnode. It is concluded that the current situation of the function position problems.a key node inthe traffic impact, draw its functional position and there is a problem. Finally, according to situation analysis and model prediction results, we conclude theadvantages, disadvantage, problems, and countermeasures of building a new rapid transit incentral areas.
