This paper first analyzes the power grid transmission equipment of pollution flashover forming process, studies leakage current of insulator influence factors in different conditions, and summarizes the current stage of the measures to prevent pollution flashover. Hilbert transform is proposed to process current signal according to insulator online monitoring problem, and using Hilbert marginal energy spectrum to analysis insulator flashover current signal. Meanwhile, studies the flying wing endpoint problem that existed in Hilbert transform and improving this method by combined with the characteristics of Hilbert-Huang wave. Using this improved way to compare with wavelet de-nosing method. Finally, using this method to analysis different salt fog conductive ratio and different equivalent salt deposit density in different relative humidity of the air that the feature of Current signal in Hilbert spectrum, according to the current average amplitude spectrum, the ratio of third harmonic energy with base wave energy amplitude to analysis leakage current signal. Put forward the three sections of the stage division insulator leakage marginal energy spectrum to express insulator flashover for further insulator timely monitoring.
