Research On Guideline For Implementation Of Rural Roads Safely Enhancement Project In Mountain Area

In western China limited by topography and construction funds, a large numberrural road in mountainous areas have the problem of low technology level, poor roadconditions, imperfect traffic safety facilities, lack of management measures, oftenbecome a traffic accident high-risk sections.As people begin paying attention to trafficsafety on the rural road in mountainous areas in recent years,security facilitiesconstruct quickly.At present, lack of research and standard for safety facilities selectionand Settings on the rural road in mountainous areas,the setting of facilities is highlyturbulent.At present,the standard and guide of traffic safety facilities in our countryprimarily aimed at high grade highway,which involves rural highway less. The ruralroad in mountainous areas have a great requirements for security facilities, but it islack of money, so it is not realistic completely to follow the requirements of high gradehighway to set the traffic safety facilities. How to use limited funds for construction ofsecurity to protect mountainous rural roads traffic safety, which the need for China’smountainous rural roads of the actual economic, technical condition, a smallerinvestment, better use the principle of rational selection, set the mountain ruralhighway traffic safety facilities.This paper based on science and technology project of Chongqing TransportationCommittee-Research on Implementation of Mountain rural Roads and DemonstrationProject in Chongqing，"on the basis of previous theoretical studies, relying on the20rural roads in mountain areas in Chongqing security building research and practice,compile Research on Guideline for Implementation of rural Roads SafetyEnhancement Project in Mountain Area.According to bad linear index and insufficientfunds, study the judging principle and standards in order to construct security facilitiespurposefully.Based on the principle of safety, economy and applicable, summarycountermeasures that suitable for different kinds of security sections, establishsystematically design method of security facilities for rural road in mountainous areas，and achieved good results in the actual based on project.
