Humanities Landscape Design Research In Waterfront Area Landscape

The waterfront landscape is an important part of the urban landscape; and the cultural characteristics of the landscape cannot be lost. The waterfront area is one of the important carriers in urban culture, landscape patterns and design concepts should have self-cultural characteristics, showing the self-style. How to extract and create the cultural characteristics of the waterfront landscape design elements and design techniques, and apply it to the waterfront landscape design practice, this paper to analyze and explore.(1) After reviewing correlated references and papers, this paper expounded the concept of waterfront landscape in urban, humanities, the place spirit and other correlated theory of design about waterfront area landscape, and discussed the definition, features and element of humanities landscape.(2)Field investigated three representative waterfront area:Scene zone of Xiangjiang River in Changsha, Jinji Lake in Suzhou and Jiangfeng scenic spot of Suzhou ancient canal, in view of humanistic landscape concrete analysis on their space type (symbolic space, rest space, activity space), landscape elements (water, sketches, plants) to analyze humanistic landscape design,, and its summary of the analysis, summarized the riverside sight humanities landscape design element and the general common design techniques.(3) Summed up the waterfront scenery with the elements of landscape design, and design techniques used in Hunan the Xiangxiang Lianshui River scenery with a landscape design practice and to create a riverside landscape with cultural characteristics constitute the elements and design techniques the instance of the verification.
