With the improvement of product variety and the acceleration of the product update speed,companies facing enormous challenges from the user and the market. the product developmentcycle is shorten as much as possible. Designers and researchers are required to make rapidcompletion of the product concept design prophase research,which is under interdisciplinarypersonnel circumstances.The present study discussed the characteristics of product conceptual design phase, thebehavioral science and related disciplines on the targeted theory and it’s correlation with userresearch. Using knowledge of behavioral science, environmental psychology, goal orientationtheory and methods on literature review, expert interviews, instance validation. Develop userbehavior research method for product concept design, which contains the user behavioracquisition method, inductive method and analysis method, by extracting and improving theideas and research methods within the scope of discipline.The result of the study enables designers and researchers to get the user needs, visualize theresults of user behavior research, give full play to the role of the research results, help designersfocus on the conceptual design of the product. The result of the study also enriches academicresearch in the field of user research.
