As a part of Chinese traditional architecture, Buddhist temples inNanyue Mountain has glittered with dazzling brilliance of traditionalarchitecture, on the other hand, has shown a significant regionalcharacteristics with Buddhist temples, typically represent the combinationof Chinese traditional architecture and regional feature, meanwhile possessdeep historical and artistic value.The space form of Nanyue Buddhist temples is an important part ofNanyue Buddhist architecture, and the study of the space form of NanyueBuddhist temples has a positive significance to the regional features ofChinese Buddhist architecture.Relying on the on-site investigation, andspot plotting, this thesis discusses components of the space form of NanyueBuddhist temples, which are plane layout and space layout, and set thema basis to analyze the pattern of organization of the space form of NanyueBuddhist temples.Draw the features of the space form of Nanyue Buddhisttemples, and propose the existing deficiency, and puts forward the opinionof rectification, provides new ideas for the protection and development ofNanyue Buddhist temples.This thesis consists in five chapters. The first chapter, Introduction,introduces the topic source, as well as the purpose and significance of thisresearch, sorts out literatures about Buddhist temple architectural space on this stage, and summarizes the experience and deficiency in a literatureview, meanwhile constructs a clear logical relationship for the thesis.Thesecond chapter is a basic analysis on the background of Nanyue Buddhisttemple, from the aspects of historical, cultural, geographical, andtheoretical foundation.The third and fourth chapter forms the key part ofthis thesis. In these two parts, a methodical analysis on the space form ofNanyue Buddhist temples and its organization, which points out thefeatures， was made by analyzing the influential factors of NanyueBuddhist temples space form, their layout, space layout and their concreteconstruction organization methods;The fifth chapter, proposes the existingdeficiency, and puts forward the opinion of rectification, provides adevelopment train of thought of Buddhist temples in tourist scenic area in aview of development and protection, for better protection of the historicalheritage of Nanyue Buddhist temples.
