| In China, the Continuous enhancement of transportation and urbanization, growing roadtraffic flow, especially the increasing use in heavy vehicles and high-pressure tires, makes aseries of increasing hazard, such as pavement crack, Surface subsidence and pushing. Thehazard of urban road pavement at intersection is particular serious, which is without anyeffective improvement nowadays. Since the sets of traffic lights and traffic control, the areanearby the intersections is the place that frequent braking and starting of vicarial often occurs.At the same time, in order to improve the capacity of intersections, the normal method ofTraffic management department is to shorten the breadth of lane in each intersection, or toincrease the quantity of lane. These practices,however,further exacerbate the regional levelof channelization of traffic at intersections.Combining effects of several factors above makes varying degrees of damage of roadpavement in intersection, which leads to the pavement performance decay accelerated and theservice lifetime be greatly shortened; besides, government have to spend a large amount offinancial and material resources for its maintenance every year, which will cause largeeconomic losses and negative social impacts. Therefore, combined with these shortcomings ofurbanization road intersection and the current situation of the construction of urban roads inChina, to actively study the appropriate preventive measures for reconstruction of highwayintersections in urban areas has an extremely important practical significance.This paper close contact to practical engineering and is based on the reconstruction ofintersection of S120Shipai-Qiaotou section(the pavement is paved by old cement concrete) inGuangdong Province. Through the surveys of condition of pavement on intersection,evaluation and measuring of Bearing capacity and pavement material properties, this paperanalyze the main reasons of pavement disease at road intersections in Dongguan city.According to the weather conditions and traffic characteristics of road intersection inDongguan, several pavement paving programs and mechanical response simulationcalculations are provided in this paper, which can compare the differences of mechanicalresponse in different locations. For the features of structural mechanics analysis in asphaltoverlay of pavement, the mixed asphalt(combining with70#ordinary asphalt, SBS modifiedbitumen, rubber asphalt, EP modification agent, anti-rut agent and AC-13C, AC-20C,SMA-13)were selected to comprehensively study on the pavement performance. Especially,the paper Focus on analysis and evaluation of high-temperature rut resistance andantireflective properties of materials, and then puts forward the proposal of the bestcombination of overlay.This Master’s thesis is finally completed by the study on a series of components, such asthe test of paving at intersection in S120section of Dongguan, application of differentmixtures in the pavement, and processing monitoring of pavement. |
