Speed information has great significance for ensuring the safe operation of trains,Train speed measuring device has been unable to meet the needs of rapid development ofhigh-speed railway. Therefore, a Doppler radar speedometer is put forwarded in this thesis,which is suitable for high-speed train. In this design, the Digital Signal Processingtechnology and a new algorithm is used. The speed measurement can access the accuratevalue of speed in real-time and effectively deal with all kinds of interference.First, the status at home and abroad has been researched in this thesis, and we alsocompare the merits of various speed mode. Then, the theory of speed radar is researchedin-depth and a spectrum analysis algorithm is provided. Based on the analysis, the thesisintroduces a Doppler radar speed measurement system of high-speed train based on acompensation structure of double microwave modules, the core of which is a DSP plusFPGA structure.The hardware and software is designed in the paper. Hardware components includethe system power supply design and signal conditioning circuit design. This paper focuseson signal processing design,which is completed by dedicated DSP development board.Doppler frequency calculations will complete a large number of computing. Therefore, theFPGA gives instructions to control the whole system, while DSP is in charge of obtainingthe Doppler shift by using Burg algorithm. System architecture and software programs hasbeen designed in detail with carefully introduce of the main part. At last, we take asystematic test and the result shows that the design of this system can meet the scheduledobjects and requirements.
