The parameter test of guns and projectiles is an important indicator for evaluating the performance of weapons,which is of great significance for weapon research and development,production,and upgrading.At present,the projectile velocity measurement technology used in most test shooting ranges has high requirements on the test environment,and the preliminary preparation process is complicated,the operation is cumbersome,and the test accuracy is easily affected by the harsh environment.The current radar speed measurement technology mostly uses additional analysis software for data processing,and the system integration is not high.Aiming at the problems of complex test methods,high environmental requirements,and low integration in projectile velocity measurement technology,this paper proposes a miniaturized,hardware-based,and integrated portable microwave velocity measurement technology,which can detect radar echo signals in three speed ranges.Perform targeted filtering and spectral analysis processing with different numbers of data points.The main work of this paper is as follows:1.According to the speed measurement principle of Doppler radar,analyze various algorithms of frequency estimation,discuss the feasibility of implementing Doppler frequency extraction based on hardware;discuss the algorithm and hardware-based implementation that can adapt to different operation points to complete spectrum analysis.2.According to the requirements of miniaturization and integration of portable microwave speed measurement system,miniaturized millimeter-wave radar is used as sensor,and the output signal amplifier circuit and high-speed AD acquisition circuit are designed,and the peripheral circuit design with FPGA as the core processor is completed.3.Using Verilog hardware description language,the signal preprocessing module of targeted filtering,the spectrum analysis and frequency extraction module of effective signal are designed.In order to obtain a better preprocessing effect,the designed filter module performs differential filtering on the target echo signals with a speed range of 0~50m/s,50~500m/s,and500~1000m/s to achieve targeted.The function of filtering interference noise;The frequency extraction module of the echo signal is implemented by radix 2 algorithm FFT.The hardware design is based on a single memory structure,so that the module can be reused for 2048,4096,and 8192 points data processing.A more efficient complex multiplication implementation is designed for butterfly operation.Finally,the average relative error is 1.67% by comparing the speed measurement of low-speed small targets with the optical fiber interference system,and the average relative error compared with the results of the laser target in the range speed measurement is 1.19%,and the design accuracy meets the speed measurement requirements.The integration,portability design and good accuracy of portable microwave velocity measurement technology provide a new method for velocity measurement in harsh environments.
