Luxury car is the crystal of human industrial civilization, and the symbol of materialfortune. However, people are starting to lose interests in enjoying material withnon-material society coming and life quality improving. Meanwhile, Chinese autoindustry stands at the point of changing from quantitative to qualitative. Every autofactory gets ready to step into luxury car area, but they have insufficient prospectiveresearch on the regular of luxury car development. Based on the cognition above, thispaper has a deep research on the revolution of luxury car design in non-material society,and finishes a design project according to it. It includes:Part1, beginning with researching the history of luxury car, it analyses the designcharacteristics of luxury car, and the social value of luxury car as well as some followingsocial issues, realizing that luxury car is an image of over rich in material life.Part2, according to the theory of futurology, it analyses the shock to the sense oftraditional luxury car which is caused by some factors in non-material society,such astransience, mobility,interpersonal relationship,Experience Design,etc. realizing that theinnovational direction of luxury car is following after the concept of over rich inresponsibility.Part3, base on over rich in responsibility, it indicates a new design concept of luxurycar named energy share. According to analysis of Chinese culture and beauty judge, itdesign a future luxury car for Chinese market. It begins at sketch, layout design, ends atmodeling making, color and material analysis as well as rendering drawing, completingthe whole design project.This paper analyses the influence on car design from the perspective of human society,exploring the fate of luxury car development. It combines the design theory and practicalproject through this luxury car design for Chinese market. At the same time, it imitates theplanning of design strategy in auto factory and the whole process of concept cardeveloping. It has a significant meaning of social macroscopic view in prospectiveanalysis and car design process for the immature Chinese auto design.
