Research On The Creation Concept In Ancient Chinese Toilet Culture

The creation of toilets in ancient China has a long history,the traditional toilets and chamber pots embody the creational thinking and wisdom of ancient people.Their forms,structures,materials and manufacturing techniques not only reflect the scientific and technological level of ancient creations,but also contain the diversified creation ideas of ancient people,which have extremely high cultural value.The concept of toilet creation in ancient times was restricted by objective factors such as natural environment,social environment,scientific and technological development,and also influenced by subjective factors such as humanistic thoughts and cultural connotations.Therefore,the research of the creation thought in the ancient toilet culture should not only focus on the form,norms and principles of the toilet,but also pay attention to the traditional humanistic factors.This paper takes the timeline of the history of ancient toilets,the humanistic subjective factors in ancient toilet creation and the objective factors that influence the development of ancient toilet culture as the main line.It has made a summary of ancient classics,unearthed relics and archaeological sites,analyzed the humanistic conceptions of the ancient toilet creation,and studied the objective factors that influenced the development of toilet creation in ancient China.This paper has summarized the concepts of creation that can be inherited and that needs to be innovated in the ancient toilet creation in our country and its enlightenment to China's modern design,and also has taken the renovation of the dry toilet in east qingxiu village,heyu township,yushe county,jinzhong city,Shanxi Province as an example to apply the concept of creation in the ancient toilet culture in China.The main contents are as follows:First,this paper links the creation of the ancient toilet with the traditional national culture and the concept of human beings,sorts out the development history of the creation of the ancient toilet culture,and expounds the cultural value and humanistic concept contained therein.Secondly,this paper discusses the concept of toilet creation from three aspects of etiquette,belief and science and technology,analyzes their influence on the design of ancient toilets and chamber pots,and explores the ecological and technical views in the relationship between man and nature.Next,this paper expounds the objective conditions that restricted the development of toilet culture in ancient China,and summarizes the creation form of toilets and chamber pots under the feudal autocracy in ancient times.At last,this paper analyzes the existing problems through the interview and investigation in east qingxiu village,heyu township,yushe county,jinzhong city,Shanxi Province,and applies the concept of Yin and Yang and five elements,natural creation and humanistic care in the ancient toilet culture to the renovation of the dry toilet in east qingxiu village.The research in this paper can bring enlightenment to the modern toilet creation and design concept,and it is of great significance to inherit the excellent humanistic concept in ancient China.
