Fuel transfer system is an important part of the Marine power plant, whichaccomplishes the fuel supply and fuel transfer between the tanks. The designperformance of the system has great influence on the time which the fuel supply cost, thepower loss of the fuel injection and the efficiency of the fuel transfer. With thedevelopment of the ship building technology and the large-scale trend of the ship size,the fuel transfer system becomes more automatic and complicated, which means thetraditional method of pipe networks design and equipment choose that all depends onexperience can no longer meet the needs. Therefore, the computer simulation technologyis applied to the design of the marine fuel transfer system. By simulating the differentdesign schemes, not only the working performance of the schemes can be known, butalso the influence of the different parameters can be get, so that the system designschemes can be optimized and the choose of the equipment can be more accurate.At first, this essay analyses the mathematic model of the pipe and the method of thenumerical simulation, which lay the theoretical foundation of the simulation of the fueltransfer system pipe networks. Secondly, according to the need of the engineering project,several design schemes of pipe networks of automatic fuel injection and transfer aremade, and calculation about the range of the parameters is done. These works providemodeling schemes and data for the pipe networks simulation. At last, Mixedprogramming of AMESim and C++Builder are done based on AMESim API, and thesimulation platform of pipe networks is completed. To exam the working effect,simulation analyses on each scheme of the pipe networks using the simulation platformare done, and the expressions about how the parameters affect the energy loss are get.Through the simulation platform, centralized control of the valves, pipes, pumps inthe model of pipe networks is implemented. The platform also has the characters ofoperating easily and interacting well, which is very significant to the engineering project.
