This thesis mainly discusses Taiwan’s hot springs culture of space research, including its historical evolution and cultural impact of space for the culvert structure. And the Hot Springs area targeted for investigation and research space, hoping thatthrough the establishment of basic data and analysis, to understand the impact of hotspring culture for the building, as well as with Hot Springs activities and innovativebuilding must have space features, as well as the evolution of space in architecture hotspring leisure industry for the impact of the case for further research and practiceFirst, the development of Taiwan’s hot springs to explore the historical context tounderstand the development of hot springs, the vertical axis describes the history ofTaiwan from the Qing leading period (1683-1895) to explore sulfur industrydevelopment, and the Japanese colonial period (1895-1945) the use of hot springsmeans and leisure resort facilities, to the retrocession (1945) flourishing in Taiwan hotsprings facilities development, as well as rise and fall of industries such as Beitou"Abolitionist" caused by the decline of the region, followed by the local government inrecent years and hot springs industry cultural emphasis on how to regain recyclingopportunities.Furthermore, through the collation of historical literature and, through drawings, images and other data, analysis of relevant cases and behavior theory to examine theevolution of hot springs on the type of space, how to respond to bathing activitiesgenerated by the use of different types of space needs and ideas, from body, mind, andspirit three dimensions of space experience, specific description of Eastern and Westernspa bath presented by cultural differences and the variety of building types. Andunderstand the history of Beitou special local customs and culture and environment ofthe development process, that the evidence of revelent local cases, the initial inductionof Taiwan’s unique hot springs culture appearance, which should permit the socialcultural and leisure tourism.Hot springs culture interpreted as "warp" to Beitou hot spring area of researchspace for the "latitude" It forms a space image of Taiwan’s hot springs culture, theimplementation of return to people and the environment "symbiotic" in practice mode, proposed in response to the base environment configuration and operation of hot springspace program instance. This thesis cut into the "cultural" issues, concern about History of Taiwan’s hotsprings and spatial evolution of the changing times, re-thinking;"hot spring cultureestablishment, hot spring space constructure, the space type and context of hot spring, hot spring leisure industry restructuring," four for discussion-oriented research, constructure design concept for architecture practice.
