The elevator, as the vertical lifting transportation equipment, has become anindispensably main traffic tools in large public facilities and high-level residence. Tractionmachine is the power source of elevator drive system. In the recent decades, with thedevelopment of computer technology, frequency conversion technology, high performancepermanent magnetic material, the permanent magnet traction machine makes greatprogress, which gradually becomes the main tendency direction of the elevators drivetechnology. Especially gearless elevator is the most important creation in modern elevatorindustry. Compared to geared traction machine, gearless traction machine has highefficiency, energy saving, low noise and significant advantages and broad applicationprospect.Firstly the paper analyzes the characteristics of elevator traction machine mechanicaldrive system, putting forward feasibility of the scheme for improving traction force, inaccordance with GB7588elevator manufacturing and installation safety regulations, anddesign technical requirements to carry on design for check and traction machine selectioncalculation; Then on the basis of this, paper studies PMSM electromagnetic design ofparticularity, design methods and detailed analysis of PMSM performance, influence factorcalculation method; Using MathCAD to write the electromagnetic design program, andwith finite element analysis software Ansoft correct the important parameters of motor electromagnetic design.Based on this paper puts forward the design method and design process, to optimizedesign and improvement: using the field and road method on permanent magnet tractionmachine for electromagnetic design, and put forward the reasonable rotor magnetic circuitstructure and electromagnetic design, through the machine test analysis, the paper provesthe design method and design scheme is feasible.
