Maintenance, as a system, plays a key role in reducing cost,minimizing equipment downtime, improving quality, increasingproductivity and providing reliable equipment and as a result achievingorganizational goals and objectives. So proper maintenance technique isthe key to reduce the cost of maintenance. Based on the hierarchystructure of the factors and the failure mode, effects and criticalityanalysis,a combined fuzzy analytic hierarchy process—goal programmingdecision model was proposed for the selection of maintenance technique.A case study is performed on the sludge dewatering equipment in adehydration treatment plant to illustrate the particular decision process ofthe approach. The case study shows that the proposed approach cancombine the quantity information and the quality information effectively,and it can provide a good technique support for the maintenancemanagement in the factory. |
