| Road passenger transport hub is important facility of passenger transport system, and isthe main place of passenger distribution and transfer. It bears function of connection ofvarious transport modes, efficient transfer, and so on. Meanwhile, it is also the bridge andligament of the city contact with other cities, and has a great driving force of development ofthe city it attached. After more than ten years’ development, China’s road transport hubconstruction has obtained significant progress, alleviated the lagging of road transport stationeffectively, and improved service level of road transport significantly.The road passenger transport hub’s function orientation is the foundation of hub planningand construction. Only with a clear hub function orientation, will it be possible to strengthenthe "seamless" connection of various transport modes, and give full play to the optimalfunction of it. If the function orientation of road passenger transport hub is not accurate orclear, it will go against the full play of advantages of various transport modes. More important,it will not meet people’s daily travel demand, and restrict the improvement of roadtransportation service ability.The dissertation will do a research on road passenger transport hub function orientation,and furthermore discuss how to guarantee the functions realized. The research is not only thebasis of optimization of the existing road passenger transport hubs, but also the theoreticsupport to the planning and construction of hubs in the future in order to build a efficient hubsystem, aiming to bring the effective cohesion between regular road passenger transport andother traffic modes, and give full play to the overall efficiency of road passenger transportsystem. |
