Pouringasphalt concrete has been used in China in recent years. However, traditional pouringasphalt concrete is difficult to meet requirements of heavy traffic due to the poor hightemperature stability and special equipmentment for construction which limit itspromotion.Water seepage, cracking and other diseases of pavement and bridge deck areserious in Jilin Province which is located in the cold region. In order to effectively usethe performance advantages of the pouring asphalt concrete, super compaction asphaltmixture which is suitable for Jilin Province has been studied on the basis of thetraditional pouring asphalt concrete. The main research achievements are as follow:1.Systematically analyze performance characteristics of traditional pouringasphalt concrete and show that it is difficult for high-temperature stability andlow-temperature crack resistance of traditional pouring asphalt concrete to meetrequirements of modified asphalt mixture in current specification of our country dueto the grading and cementing material;2.Considering the climate and traffic characteristics of Jilin Province, weput forward to use new additive instead of traditional lake asphalt. LF8000andTPS additive were first determined by experiment. The performance of themodified binder is obviously superior to the traditional lake asphalt;3. In order to improve the high-temperature stability of mixture, thetwo-stage gradation optimization method and super compaction asphalt mixtureproportion have been put forward. And its performance is obviously superior totraditional pouring asphalt concrete. Especially it has excellent low-temperaturedeformation ability which is suitable for cold region;4. By finite element calculation and experimental Simulation, thehigh-temperature rutting resistance performance and low-temperature crackresistance performance of super compaction asphalt mixture were comparativestudied respectively. The results show that the high-temperature rutting resistanceperformance is obviously superior to traditional pouring asphalt concrete and hasgood crack heal capacity;5.Considering the disadvantage that traditional pouring asphalt concrete isdifficult to construct, using the technology of production and constructionequipment of common asphalt mixture and using the test equipment and method ofcommon asphalt concrete has been put forward.
