With the increasing of traffic volume and axial load, channelized traffic, continuous high temperature weather caused by Global warming, the asphalt pavement rutting become more and more serious, it will affect not only the driving comfort , but also the driving safety, and the rutting is most difficult to maintain, So, How to delay and reduce the occurrence of rutting, Asphalt pavement has become an urgent need to address the problem.In this paper, systematic analysis such issues as the asphalt pavement rutting formation mechanismd and influencing factors ,on the basis, from two perspective which is the aggregate gradation and the mixed anti-rutting agent to study the measures of providing high-temperature rutting resistance capacity.First of all, On the basis of analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of various types of gradation, use graded theory to design five kinds of gradation curve within the gradation band that specification recommended , and then to do the Marshall test,rutting test,the water stability test on five gradation asphalt mixture separately, combined Bailey method parameters and the pavement performance of the five graded asphalt in a comprehensive comparison, test results show that the composition of aggregate gradation will affect the asphalt mixture performance, the three-graded asphalt which gradation is within the gradation band of AC-13K has good high temperature rutting resistance capabilities, water stability is also well, through the Bailey method further confirmed the three-graded asphalt mixture has formed good skeleton structure, but also shows that the asphalt has better skeleton structure,which CA fluctuations around 0.45, therefore, AC-13K used in high temperature and rainfall areas is more suitable.Secondly,AC-13, AC-16, AC-20 three kinds of asphalt mixture, SBS modified asphalt mixture, doped with different doses of anti-rutting agents to conduct the Marshall test, rutting test, water stability test, low temperature cracking test, in combination with anti-rutting agent modification mechanism to study the affection to the pavement performance of asphalt which mixed with different doses of anti-doping agents, the test results show that the outer-doped anti-rutting agent of asphalt mixture on improving high temperature performance advantages are obvious, water stability and low temperature cracking performance has increased in a certain extent , mixed with 0.3 ~ 0.4% of the anti-rutting agents, the asphalt mixture can get a more balanced pavement performance.
