| With entering into the period of the12th Five Years Plan, the transportation servicesin our country will step into a new historical stage, and an effective and efficient transportstrategy is required under the new market competition environment. With the typicalcompetitive edges of highly efficient, secure, low-cost, making different transportationmodes concentrate into a complete chain of the comprehensive transportation system, andthen realizing the seamless connection of transportation network eventually, multimodaltransport become a hotspot organization mode of the transport service industry in thenation and even in the whole world. The hub of the multimodal transport is the effectiveinterface between different transportation modes, the key infrastructures links of transfercohesion, and the marshalling point for the mutual coordination between eachtransportation modes in the transport process, and the optimization design and managementquality of its network will have direct influence on the service quality of intermodalnetwork. Thus, if the enterprise managers want their multimodal transport network toproduce a high-quality service, the first order of business is to make scientific planning andlayout for the hub networks.Basing on the analysis of the domestic and abroad developing process and currentresearch status of multimodal transport, this study analyses the transport serviceorganization form of the multimodal transport hub networks, and applies the model andmethod of P-Hub median problem which came from the multiple dispatch problem in thenode layout of traditional transportation network into the hub networks design ofmultimodal transport, and then builds a mathematical model framework to describe thepractical multimodal transport’s hub networks by comprehensive considering theinfluencing factors in the hub networks, such as the fixed operation cost, hubtransshipment, transportation cost, transportation capacity constraints, transportation scaleeffect and transportation time constraints ect., and further up uses Lingo programming toverify the accuracy of the built model. Further, this study designs a tabu searchmeta-heuristic on the basis of the abstract mathematical model, uses the algorithm to calculate the test data, and compares the calculation with the result calculated by Lingo toverify the reliability and validity of the designed algorithm. Then, the algorithm is appliedto get the best hub positioning and route assigning for a multimodal transport networkswhich has10potential nodes. And the different impacts on the multimodal transportnetwork optimization is researched when the influencing factors including transfer abilityconstraints, transportation capacity constraints between nodes, transportation scale effectare or not considered. The achievements of the research can provide important referencevalue for the transportation service providers to meet the transport demand as far aspossible meanwhile maximizing the cost saving. |
