Vibration is a common phenomenon in running process of mechanical equipments andstructures, which causes mechanical material fatigue and damage, increases energyconsumption, reduces the precision of the instrument, meanwhile, noise generated byvibration will cause environmental pollution, and be harmful to health. Vibration test andanalysis technologies have been a combination of mechanical dynamics, electrical andelectronic technology and computer science. With the development of science and technology,demands for machine running speed, load capacity, working life and other aspects areincreased, while, vibration test and analysis technologies are playing an increasinglyimportant role in the field of machine health monitoring, fault diagnosis, vibration and noisecontrol.In this paper, vibration test and analysis technologies including signal sampling theory,time domain analysis, Fourier transform principle are studied, and the working principles andtechnical performances of the hardware of a vibration test system, which consists vibrationsensors, filter and analog to digital converter are investigated too. A software of vibrationsignal acquisition and analysis is developed based on Visual basic6.0exploitation platform ofMS. Then, by combining this software with vibration acceleration sensors, a signalconditioning and a signal acquisition instrument, a vibration signal acquisition and analysissystem, which will be applied to sample and analyze vibration signals of machine, is obtained.The functions of vibration data acquisition, time domain analysis, frequency analysis, datastorage, data read, filtering, data statistical analysis are achieved in this system, meanwhile,single channel and multi-channel data acquisition and storage, time domain and frequencydomain analysis are performed too. Finally, a system verification test and an engine vibrationmeasurement test are carried out. The results of these tests show that the system achieves thedesired requirements and has practical value.
