Ground Treatment Methods And Optimization Choice Of The Offshore Equipment Manufacturing Industry Base

Equipment manufacturing industry for ocean engineering is developing from thetraditional ship building industry. However, due to the particular features of theproducts and the applications of new processes, new technologies and large-scalefacilities, the new requirements in foundation settlement and stability have arised. Inthe past few years, several new construction methods for this type of foundationabove have been proposed by some engineering staffs. However, these methods allfocused on the physical and mechanical properties of soil. Even in the practicalprocess in ground treatment for manufacture base on offshore oil equipment, thetreatment is processed separately. There are still no general conclusions andpertinence studies on this field which combines the particularity of the productiontechnology for ocean engineering equipments.In this study, combining the particularity of ground treatment for manufacturingbase of ocean engineering Equipments, field application, the construction schemes,construction control points and comparative analysis in some ground treatmentmethods which contain the combined-method of vacuum dewatering and preloading,the combined utilization of drainage consolidation methods and the methods of mudreplacement by blasting have been studied. The scope of applications of these methodhave been demonstrated, and the assessment and choice of ground treatment methodsfor manufacturing base of ocean engineering Equipments with analytic hierarchyprocess are presented in this study. This study also gives the theory and procedure ofanalytic hierarchy process, and shows the application of this method in thepreferential choice of ground treatment methods with a project example, whichprovide an effective method for the decision of ground treatment methods formanufacturing base of ocean engineering Equipments.
