The Urban Distribution Network Planning For "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" Of Baotou Area

Urban grid is the main load center of power system. As one of the city’s criticalinfrastructure, it is closely related the city’s social and economic development. Urbandistribution system planning is an important part of the overall plan of the city. Itshould be compatible with the development of the city with the purpose of moderatingand ahead of the power supply to meet the region’s economic development needs. Thepurpose of urban distribution system planning is construct a system which has strongnetwork, reasonable architecture, and is reliable, flexible, energy saving andeconomical through scientific planning. It should enhance power supply capabilityand reliability continuously and satisfies the social development need.In accordance with the Inner Mongolia Electric Power Company "12th fives"during the general requirements of power grid construction, and based on the overallurban planning and Baotou basic status of network, this paper have made the loadforecasting, and proposed distribution network planning project. The purpose such asImproving and optimizing the grid structure of Baotou, ensuring the safe andeconomic operation power was achieved. The planning project provided a solidfoundation and strong protection for the rapid and healthy development of socialeconomy for Baotou City.By analyzing the current status of urban centers and urban development in recentyears, this paper summarized the achievements and shortcomings of the currentdistribution network, and pointed out the direction of the construction of Baotou’sdistribution system within the “12th fives”. According to city planning and economicdevelopment prospects of Baotou, the "12th fives" period and long-term demand forelectricity was predicted. According to the results of network planning at higher levels,with consideration of the actual situation in Baotou, the technical principles inaccordance with the economical development of Baotou was developed. The networkarchitecture and size in the period of “12th fives” was planned hierarchically, and thesub-annual investment plan was prepared.
