Existing research on handling comfort mainly focuses on static comfortand vibration comfort of control device. Through the use of matching degreebetween the spatial layout and design parameters of control device and thephysical structure parameters of manipulator to evaluate maneuverability of acontrol device, or through the changing rule of one feature(such as vibrationacceleration)to evaluate control comfort, or through human physiological andpsychological parameters(such as muscle fatigue)to study the comfort ofhuman body and its changing rule.This paper defines the handling comfort of control process by correlativerelationship between control force mechanical characteristics of controlprocess and human biomechanical characteristics, and the research objectivesare the measurement of handling comfort and optimization design of controldevice comfort. First, the mapping relation between the control forcemechanical characteristics and key characteristics of human biomechanics isresearched, and their mapping model is established to reveal the influencemechanism of control force mechanical characteristics on human comfort.Based on influence mechanism, the metrics system of handling comfort isconstructed, including basic point index of control comfort, rigidity index ofcontrol comfort, fluctuation index of control comfort, as well as mutationindex of control comfort, in order to realize the quantitative description ofhandling comfort and their variation. Finally, according to the metrics systemof handling comfort and combing with the dynamic model of control device,the optimization technology of handling comfort in man-machine system isexplored, the optimal design model handling comfort of control device isestablished, so the feedback information of design parameters of controldevice comfort is acquired. All researches provide theoretical foundation andtechnical support for handling comfort of control device.
