| In civil building, floor and roof system as the key structural element and thenecessary functional components, must be firstly solved in the structural design.For civil building, the importance of reasonably designed floor and roof system isobvious for buildings’ usability, safety and the control of engineering cost.Reinforced concrete floor and roof system as the most common type has anextremely wide application in engineering practice, after summarizing thecommonly used floor and roof system in civil building and combining relativelymature foreign VM system, this research first simplifies the working procedure ofVM in manufacturing industry and eliminates some unnecessary proceduresaccording to the features of construction industry. The importance of carrying outVM work in the preliminary project structure designing stage is emphasized andsimplified working methods for VM activities in structure designing stage are putforward to reduce time for VM activities, lower the cost and expedite theapplication of VM in construction projects.At the same time, reinforced concrete floor and roof system in civil building ischosen as the research target of VM. This research conducts an economical andtechnical analysis on the commonly used floor and roof systems and it adopts VMtheory to achieve the optimum combining point for the function of floor and roofsystem and the cost. Furthermore, it demonstrates the application procedures of VMwork in structural designing of floor and roof system and the social benefit of VMactivities, which proves that application of VM theory in preliminary projectstructure designing stage is of great significance. For one thing, it can createeconomical profit and on the other hand make considerable contribution to thedevelopment of conservation-oriented and sustainable society.This research also has done a thorough analysis on the designing of optimumfloor and roof system, construction methods and precautions according to concreteproject in order to present a full-scaled recognition of designing for floor and roofsystem and construction in civil building and to facilitate further, refined andthorough studies on floor and roof systems. |
