Anti-seismic performance was very important for the building in the earthquake country, generally speaking, the earthquake load was the dominant factor for the multi-storey building. Therefore, whether a structure project was outstanding depends on its anti-seismic performance. Some research indicate that the anti-seismic performance of the TMD system was outstanding, but it requires an accessional mass, as the results, the total cost will increase. Based on this concept, we can hang the live loads on the beam. Thus the cost of the mass was left out compared with the TMD system. And besides, the load on the floor was reduced a lot because the live load was mainly convergence on the beam, so the thickness and the reinforcing steel bar of the floor used in the floor will be reduced a lot, so the suspension structure have excellent economic performance. Base on this concept, and together with the aim of solving practical engineering problems, the following items of research work have been done:1. The comparative designing and economical analysis was studied for both the suspension structure and the frame structure which have the same structure project. The material consumption and the total cost was presented, and the conclusion that the suspension structure was economical was draw in this paper.2. The type of the floor system should was put forward in this paper which took the structure of the bookshelf and the convenience of disposing suspending point. And the local structure of the suspending point was proposed.3. The anti-seismic performance of the suspend structure in finite element method, the primary analysis of the mechanism of shock absorption was carried through modal analysis. It was found that the displacement and the shear force between the storey was reduced a lot through time-history analysis, the results indicate that the suspend structure is effective in shock absorption.
