Research On The Grey Space Of Residential Park

The concept of grey space was born in the1970s in Japan. The design technique of "grey space" was applied in Chinese classical garden and building before it. With the development of the times, the form of the human living was also changed. Kurokawa said:"this space (grey space) has been used as an important means to reduce the feelings of alienation, which were caused by the modern urban space buildings separaed into illicit close space and public space."The Grey space of green land in residential park, which is the important symbol to evaluate the quality of residential environment, creates a rich life environment for people who live around there. As the improvement of the people’s life level either material or cultural, we have more strict requirements not only in residential building itself, but also in the requirements of the living environment. The blend of the grey space, which greatly improves the quality of the living environment, makes the content of park green space in the residential area richer.Through the introduction of the development of the residential environment, the generation of grey space, the development process and research methods of grey space in domestic and foreign country and some related theories of grey space in grey space of green land in residential park, namely gray system theory, the relationship between graph and negative theory, middle field theory, Place spirit theory, environmental psychology theory and the definition, density, form, nature, functions and types of Gray Spaces; the typical grey space analysis of Chinese classical gardens such as Surging Wave Pavilion and Humble Administrator’s Garden, and Modern residential park green space such as Beijing rose garden and harmonious park in Xinxiang Henan; the relationship with grey space of green land in residential park and the regional cultural, location factor, the surrounding environment, service crowd, whole residential landscape; the design principle, form and design methods of grey space in residential area park green space, the paper draw the following conclusions:the definition of grey space of green land in residential park were put forward and it’s attribute, morphology, density, types and functions were attributed based on the research of architectural and garden grey space. According to form it was divided into four categories, namely the shape of point, the shape of line, the shape of surface, the shape of square. Combined with the study of Chinese classical and modern grey space of green land in residential park, the design key points and influence factors were discussed. The expression form, the key points and methods of design were summarized combined with the analysis of attribute, density, type and function. Based on the analysis of present situation on the residential area in Beijing Classical Beauty Garden, transformation scheme of unreasonable grey space was Put forwarded, which focus on small park at the entrance, in view of plant configuration confusion, humble rest facilities, the mainly road twists and turns and other problems. This study would play an active part in the design of grey space of green land in residential park.
