Automobile Infrared Thermometer

As an important ways of measuring temperature, infrared measuring temperature has irreplaceable po sition, especially in moving target temperature and unable to contact surface temperature measurement.with the progress of science and technology, demands modern engine more and more strengthen, cause a lot of harm, such as:gas-filled coefficient of engine decline; engine combustion is not normal; oil metamorphic; oil supply is prone to vapor lock; ignition department doesn’t work properly. And part of the summer weather is hot, serious to cause car engine spontaneous combustion. Therefore considering design a infrared thermometer, real-time and accurate detection car engine temperature, and the results is showed in car dashboard.In the thesis, we first introduced the infrared detection technology, including the basic theory, development process and characteristics of infrared temperature measurement technology. Then design the automobile infrared thermometer, including the design of optical system, the choice of infrared detector, temperature compensation and signal processing. And I also constructed experimental platform, corresponding car water thermometer scale value, measured the engine’s temperature using the infrared thermometer in outdoor temperature-5℃, recorded and analyzed the data. But this design still need to be improved, I will do better in future.
