With the development of China’s urbanization, the buildings is increasing andincreasingly crowded in the city, and to the underground space developmentprojects is also increasing, so it will often appear foundation pit around the building. In the excavation process of the pit, the surrounding buildings and pit is interacting, resulting in devising this pit of the building envelope is different with the generalpit, there is a certain degree of particularity, so people individual study the designof this type offor this type of foundation pit. When the new excavation pit surrounding buildings have a basement, earthpressure subjecting the foundation pit structure is different with general pit. Whenthe basement depth is greater than the excavation depths, you can not do envelopedesign; If excavation depths greater than the basement depth, retaining structuresuffered earth pressure smaller than the general pit. When the surroundingbuildings had pile foundation, pile foundation will affect the envelope design of thepit. During excavation, the soil surrounding the pit maybe shift to the pit, but pilefoundation around the pit will hinder the soil movement. This article will study thefeatures of this foundation pit, and learn from practical experience of thisfoundation pit to study the interaction between the surrounding buildings and thepit. For this reason, when the basement of the building away from the pit is very near, this article first theoretical analysis the size of the earth pressure acting in thestructure of this type of foundation pit and how to calculate. And then by applyingthe finite element method to simulate this type of pit and calculate the stress stateof the pit. Finally, combine the specific project examples, summarize its calculationresults and put forward the conclusions and opinions for the design andconstruction of such pit.
