| Earthquake isolation is a representative of the shock absorption technology,thetheory of earthquake isolation technology is by reducing the level of isolationstiffness,extend the natural period of the structure,increase the damping to avoid thestructure of resonance with short-period earthquake. Currently,the development ofseismic isolation technology is more mature and becomed to be a very important partof structural vibration reduction. Buildings and bridges with isolation technology hasbeen undergo a number of test of actual earthquake,which provides us with asuccessful and valuable experience. However, during the history of earthquakedamage data,many epicentral area in strong earthquake,longitudinal wave intensityis stronger than transverse wave intensity,so it can’t ignored the impact of thevertical seismic,in particular when horizontal seismic effective has been wellcontroled,vertical seismic action has become an important factor to affect thestructural safety.In this paper, disc springs sre used for vertical isolation of the main bearingcomponents device,then parallel with euler buckling struck and friction damper,research and develop two different tectonic isolation devices.Disc spring is a kind ofmetal spring which loading and unloading curves do not coincide, depending on thedisc combination can get different types of characteristic curves. Euler buckling strutoccured stiffness mutation before buckling and after buckling,this characteristic canbe applied to the field of isolation (vibration). With strong compressive stiffnessbefore buckling,in the normal carrying condition with a little axial deformation,small vibration cause euler buckling strut buckled,compressive stiffness reduceimmediately,so it can play a very good isolation effect. Friction damper, as a kind ofenergy dissipation components,mainly provide extra vertical damper to disc spring,increase the overall capability of energy consumption.In this paper we mainly do the following aspects of research work through theory analysis, finite element analysis and experiment.The main research work has thefollowing several aspect:(1) Summarizing failure modes and analyzing stresscharacteristics of structures in the vertical seismic action from the past earthquakedisasters reports,which provide a reliable basis to study the necessity of verticalisolation bearings.(2)Introduced two kinds of the vertical isolation device,do sometheory analysis, finite element analysis and experiment.(3)Make some finite elementsimulation of the disc srping, analysis the internal stress characterstics anddistribution of spring in the loading process, Simulation friction damper workprocess of friction material deformation and stress.(4)Processing and test thevertical isolation device,get some relevant parameters in different forms ofcombination,and compared with theoretical result(.5)Using finite element softwareto one ten level frame structure time history analysis, comparative isolation and noisolated structure under earthquake effect of vertical displacement and accelerationand axial force between the layers, verify the effect of vertical vibration isolationdevice.Finally we give a brief summary about above research achievements and point outthe direction for further researches and urgent works need to be completed. |
