The floor of the high-rise frame structures is very suppleness when the frame structures subjected to the vertical seismic actions, it is impossible to confirm that each member has the same displacement in the same floor, so it is impossible that the summation of axes stiffness of each vertical member represent the global vertical stiffness of the frame structure. It is impossible to solve the story axes stiffness by combination, and it must considering the affection of the stiffness of the gird of the floor. So, because of the distinctness of vertical displacement of each vertical member of the same floor, then member model is presented to analyzing the vertical vibration during the vertical seismic action. This paper calculated the vertical stiffness matrix of plane frame structures subjected to vertical earthquake action. From the global stiffness matrix of plane frame, condensing the static force and eliminating the coupling of vertical force and displacement and other broad sense force and displacement, obtained the vertical stiffness matrix of plane frame structures subjected to vertical earthquake action considering the influence of horizontal girds and nodal. Then, analyze and compare the elastic time-history analysis of the frame structures subjected to various vertical seismic waves considering different vertical stiffness matrix, thus the vertical stiffness matrix which was proposed by this paper has certain rationality, it is valuable to engineering designing.
