Industrial engineering design belongs to industrial design, is the combination ofscience with arts, and is also a comprehensive design and production process. It is notonly confine to external styling, colors and decoration, but also in consideration withfunction materials, production processing, ergonomics, aerodynamics, bionics,aesthetics, et al.With the advances in technology, construction machinery manufacturers developmore powerful products to meet market demand, but generally ignore the emotionalneeds of the user and operating experience. In addition to meeting a powerful andreliable performance, excellent engineering and mechanical product design must meetthe aesthetic needs and operating experience of the user With the development of thetimes and advances in technology, the gap between China’s construction machinerymanufacturers and international leaders in technical is narrowing, but China’sconstruction machinery manufacturers generally not paid attention to industrial design,and therefore there is a shortage of the product image and branding, comparing withinternational leaders. Based on above background, this paper completes designprojects which SANYHE commissions to HUN school of Design, exploring the designof construction machinery products.SANYHE shuttle car is a large engineering machinery products for undergroundwork in the design process, we must not only meet the technical requirements of theprocess, structure, materials and other projects, but also emphasize on ergonomics andmake the product easy to operate, comfortable and reasonable. In addition, designshuttle car shape, surface coating and surface materials to meet SANYHE "mighty,strong, simple, elegant" styling, and reflect SANYI philosophy that “the simplicityand self-confidence”. Shaping the image of SANYI product and the company’s brandenhances the value-added products and competitiveness and expands market share.Based on the mission statement, our team first starts a careful analysis of thedesign requirements of the party; then make design research. Through analysis thedesign in domestic and foreign, we master shuttle car status quo and developmenttrend. We do eight plan of the program. In the first to second round of plan, SANYdecide the shape of the car; in the third to sixth round, they decide the color, in thelast two round, our team finish the design. At last, our design is absolutely successful.
