Research Of Residential Improvement Based On The Ningxiang Rural Residential Environment

In recent years, with the rapid development of society and economy and acceleration of urbanization process, the rural construction issue has become one of the key issues in our present national economic construction. With the advance of the time, there is a new demand for rural housing, traditional house residences can’t meet modern people’s requirements in some respects. It is worthwhile to explore how to integrate the traditional element with modern flavor in the construction of local houses.This thesis studies Ningxiang farmer’s houses. Based on the natural geography, culture and history in Ningxiang traditional farmers’houses, this thesis analyzes the architecture characteristics of Ningxiang traditional farmers’houses from the aspects of ecology, culture and forms. By using the materials gathered in field research, mapping and questionnaire surveys, this thesis sums up the farmers’practical requirements for houses and analyzes various problems in the current rural houses. In the end, based on farmers’practical needs and Ningxiang traditional houses, this thesis presents detailed measures for improvement from the aspects of exterior environment and individual house with the aim of seeking a good method to build a new countryside.This thesis is based on the practical requires of peasant life, it proposes improvement measures of current farm building by combining with the characteristics of Ningxiang traditional houses. It is can not only preserve unique residential culture of Ningxiang, improve the living environment of peasants, but also seek a sustainable development strategy to construct regional characteristics building of new countryside.
