Chinese Experimental Fast Reactor (CEFR) project is the first independent research,design, construction and management of the fast neutron reactor in China. Compared with thedomestic nuclear power engineering during construction, the technology is more complex andthe management is more difficult for CEFR. In this thesis, the on-site installation technicaldifficulties of the key nuclear island equipment of CEFR-steam generator are focused on andanalyzed. The site welding rule of two important welding joint of connection between theevaporator and superheater, and connection between steam generator equipment pipeline andthe two-loop pipe, is relatively systematically studied. A practicable plan of lifting andwelding is proposed and developed. The technical problem of requirements of high equipmentplace size precision and the high welding quality is solved.According to the characteristics of the steam generator equipment, such as highoperating temperature(310~495℃),poor working conditions(the working medium isSodium) and so. Firstly, the difficulty of welding technology is analyzed and the weldingtechnology program is developed; and then, the weldability of weldedjoints (10X2M+10X2M;12X1MΦ+304H) base metal10X2M12X1MΦ and304H isanalyzed. The reasonable welding process and welding process quality control measurementsare established and verified by weilding technology test. According to the results of weldingtechnology test, we have worked out effective on-site construction and installationof the welding process construction program. Based on theprevious large-scale construction equipment installation experience, and the safe andeffective hoisting and installation program is made. After the equipment lifted and installed inplace, the steam generator is installed according to the welding quality control of theconstruction scheme.Inspected by two liquid penetrant testing and X-ray flaw inspection, two welding jointbefore and after heat treatment are all qualified, and the welding deformation in the weldingprocess was well controled. The final installation position and size of the steam generatorfully meet the design requirements, which illustrates that this formulation of the lifting anderection welding process and welding process quality control method is effective and reliable. and the installation technical problems were solved.In this paper, the construction experience of CEFR and the installation process of the keyequipment-the steam generator were summarized. The guiding significance for thefuture construction of the fourth generation of commercial operation of nuclear power plant is veryimportant.
