Landscape Dynamics And Ecological Security Of Fuzhou Coast Zone

Fuzhou is the capital of Fujian province,which one located in the eastern coast ofFujian Province and has large areas of shallow seas and tidelands. It is estuary ofMinjiang River and rich food, providing a superior natural conditions and broadprospects for development. There are a lot of Mountain and steep slopes inFuzhou.The soil is thin,which results the degradation of ecological environment. itis Likely to cause pollution because of the poor self-purification capacity. Thefrequent natural disasters, population pressure, results in a fragile ecologicalenvironment. Based on the coast of Fuzhou Land-use change, coastal shelterbeltchange, coastal waters change information extraction, the author made a quantitativeevaluation of the the Fuzhou coastal ecological security. The results shows that:(1) The Fuzhou Coast has a higher land-use dynamic than it is in2005-2006, And thechange is concentrated in the southern part of the study area.The expansion ofconstruction land results in the loss of arable land.The fragmentation of arableland has increased,.(2) the proportion of Conifers, Acacia and Casuarina of coastal shelterbelts areincreasing, Landscape dominance and the degree of fragmentation are increasingtoo. The width of backbone is narrow and serious missing.(3)2001-2010, The water area showed an increasing trend, Breeding waters and otherwaters has the most obvious change. In addition,there is a significant reductionin Shoals area.(4) The safe value of system pressure of the Fuzhou coast is declining during thestudy, which proved that load caused by human activities on the environment ismore and more.; The pressure of the study area include natural pressures andhuman pressure. Natural pressure reached its peak in2007, because of frequentnatural disasters. Anthropogenic pressures showed an upward trend,because ofeconomic development and population growth.(5) With the socio-economic development and urban expansion,Fuzhou coastal zoneis still facing a series of ecological and environmental problems,such as the urban heat island effect, the rural environmental pollution,eutrophication, etc..
